Job Summary
A healthcare provider needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Behavioral Health Physician Coder II in Marinette.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Meet and exceed departmental quality and production standards
- process coding claim appeals and coding claim rejections
- Sequence diagnoses and procedure codes
Qualifications for this position include:
- Professional Coder (CPC) certification issued by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC), or
- Coding Associate (CCA) certification issued by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA)
- Advanced knowledge of ICD, CPT and HCPCS coding guidelines
- Advanced training beyond High School
- Typically requires 2 years of experience in professional coding
- Intermediate computer skills
