Job Summary

A software development company has a current position open for a Remote Benefits Specialist.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot system issues and resolve user problems as they relate to benefits in the HRIS
• Establish appropriate work priorities to meet competing deadlines
• Handle benefit inquiries and complaints to ensure equitable, quick, and courteous resolution when needed

Required Skills:

• In-depth knowledge and understanding of US benefits
• Knowledge and understanding of Canadian benefits desired
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor's degree and minimum 4+ years experience in benefits including leave of absence and disability administration
• Excellent communication skills at various levels within the organization
• Working knowledge of FMLA, ERISA, HIPPA, COBRA and ACA
