Remote Bengali Interpreter

Job Summary

Providing effective audio and video interpreting services, the remote Independent Contractor will facilitate language communication for the Limited English Proficient (LEP) community while managing inbound calls and adhering to professional conduct standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide effective audio and video interpreting through a web-based platform
• Answer inbound calls in a timely manner
• Adhere to the Code of Professional Conduct and maintain confidentiality

Required qualifications

• Full fluency in both English and Bengali-Bangla
• Technology proficient with web-based platforms and Microsoft Word
• A quiet and secure interpreting space free from outside noises
• 1+ years of professional interpreting experience preferred
• Industry-specific certifications/trainings preferred (CMI, CCHI, etc.)
