Job Summary

A software-as-a-service company needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Big Data and Cloud Data Platform Architect.

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Collaborating with business stakeholders to identify data-related business challenges and potential opportunities
  • Functioning as Big Data SME and internal consultant to a variety of business and technology stakeholders
  • Providing mentorship to other members of the Big Data team

Qualifications Include:

  • Deep knowledge of data security and privacy concerns in AWS Big Data environments
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in the following: SQL, Python, Spark, AWS infrastructure
  • Proven leadership in the architecture, design and implementation of data systems
  • 3+ years of Architect-level experience
  • Seasoned data professional with experience in multiple data environments
  • 7+ years of hands-on data engineering experience
