Job Summary

A online real estate platform provider has an open position for a Remote Big Data Principal Software Engineer.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Architecting, designing, building, implementing and supporting data pipelines/products
  • Leading architecture, implementation, and operations of platforms and tools
  • Researching and pioneering the adoption and use of new technologies

Qualifications Include:

  • Have deep experience in applying automation to data engineering (DataOps)
  • 7+ years software development experience with very high proficiency in Python or Scala or Java
  • Have previously designed and built complex, highly scalable / reliable data pipelines
  • Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Comfortable distilling informal customer requirements into problem definitions
  • Experienced in establishing and promoting high standards in DevOps, Security, CI/CD, monitoring, data validation, testing, etc
