Job Summary
A translation service provider is in need of a Remote Bilingual Taishanese Audio Medical Interpreter.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Providing effective audio, remote interpreting service for customers
- Participating in ongoing quality assurance and call monitoring programs
- Facilitating communication for limited English proficient (LEP) community members
Skills and Requirements Include:
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of audio medical interpreting experience
- Must have a strong aptitude in customer service and medical interpreting
- Extensive knowledge of code of ethics and standards of practice (IMIA, NBCMI and NCIHC)
- Fluent and possess strong verbal communication skills in both the source and target language (i.e., Taishanese-to-English or vice-a-versa)
- Successful completion of a language assessment focusing on Interpreter protocols and knowledge of medical terminology
