Job Summary
A diagnostic company is filling a position for a Remote Bioinformatics Pipeline Engineer in Alameda.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Participating in pipeline standardization across multiple partner sites
- Participating in the resolution of operations support requests
- Consulting on process and technology improvements
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- able to travel to local meetings occasionally
- B.S. with 6+ years of experience in Bioinformatics, Genomics, Genetics, Computer Sciences or a related field
- Proficiency in programming and scripting (Perl, Python, R, C/C++, etc.)
- Proficiency working in Unix/Linux operating systems
- Experienced in developing container workflows for genomic data analysis
- Demonstrated ability to communicate efficiently and work effectively with a team of scientists
