Job Summary
A molecular diagnostic company is filling a position for a Remote Bioinformatics Scientist in San Diego.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Developing computational methods for integrative analysis
- Working across the organization to offer bioinformatics support
- Developing pipelines and test algorithms to optimize the analysis of NGS data
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- PhD. in computational biology, bioinformatics, genomics, systems biology, statistical genetics or a related field
- Experience leading research projects as well as providing bioinformatics expertise in collaborations
- Background in bioinformatics, machine learning, data science computational biology, and genetics and AI
- Demonstrated experience in next-generation sequencing and broader biological data analysis
- Experiences in multiple omic data platforms, emerging technologies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as a track record of peer-reviewed scientific publications
