Job Summary
A data management company has an open position for a Remote Bioinformatics Software Engineer in Cambridge.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Supporting existing and future contracts
- Using the company's products as a storage solution in the bioinformatics space
- Utilizing technical skills to complete required tasks
Qualifications for this position include:
- Strong C++ (C++11 or greater) skills
- Experience writing high performance bioinformatics tooling
- Experience with one or more high level language popular in bioinformatics
- Knowledge of and experience working with FastQ, VCF, BAM formats
- Knowledge of existing libraries/tooling around bioinformatics formats (ex bcftools, htslib)
