Job Summary
A software company has an open position for a Remote Bookkeeper.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Owning weekly bookkeeping and assist with month end close processes to support the overall financial health of the business
- Reconciling balance sheet accounts and department level expenditures
- Monitoring and assisting with the processing of vendor payments, corporate credit card reconciliations and employee expense reports
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Previous bookkeeping experience in a dynamic, hypergrowth environment
- In-depth knowledge of accrual bookkeeping, debits and credits, intercompany accounts, and bank reconciliations
- Strong Excel or Sheets skills with the ability to splice and dice data
- Familiarity with GST, HST, PST, and QST sales tax filings
- A love for technology and the ability to learn new software quickly
- A focus on continuous improvement
