Remote Bookkeeper

Job Summary

A software company has an open position for a Remote Bookkeeper.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Owning weekly bookkeeping and assist with month end close processes to support the overall financial health of the business
• Reconciling balance sheet accounts and department level expenditures
• Monitoring and assisting with the processing of vendor payments, corporate credit card reconciliations and employee expense reports

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

• Previous bookkeeping experience in a dynamic, hypergrowth environment
• In-depth knowledge of accrual bookkeeping, debits and credits, intercompany accounts, and bank reconciliations
• Strong Excel or Sheets skills with the ability to splice and dice data
• Familiarity with GST, HST, PST, and QST sales tax filings
• A love for technology and the ability to learn new software quickly
• A focus on continuous improvement
