Job Summary
A consulting firm needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Business Analyst Tester in Norfolk.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Defining the system requirements and designing approach and writing corresponding user stories and acceptance criteria
- Creating functional artifacts such as a data dictionary, roles matrix, or process diagram
- Coordinating with developers and testers to ensure a shared understanding of business requirements
Skills and Requirements Include:
- 5 + years of work experience as Business Analyst/Tester (with no degree requirement)
- Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria
- Experience facilitating requirements gathering meetings with clients and end-users
- Experience testing and logging defects, and working with developers to ensure defects are appropriately resolved
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) including recent successful experience with agile methodologies (scrum)
- Ability to push creative thinking beyond the boundaries of existing industry practices and client mindsets
