Job Summary

JOB SPECIFICS
The ideal BIS candidate will possess two years' experience working with NGO educational data, is self-driven and comfortable working independently. S/he'll implement and support QM's business intelligence (BI) system (Built with Google Charts) to provide key reporting as it relates to QM strategic planning and decision-making, supporting analytics and research efforts that demonstrate the impact of QM products and services.

While the daily location for this position is flexible, QM is only able to consider applications from residents of the states in which we are currently registered; CT, FL, IL, IN, KS, MI, MD, MO, NM, NV, OH, OR, PA, TN, WA.

Your skills include experience wrangling a variety of statistical data, devising and implementing successful methods and processes for identifying data patterns and trends in available information resources. Finding unusual patterns is your thing', you love to managing project processes from start to finish, including production, maintenance, troubleshooting, reports, and data mining. You meet tough deadlines, and provide first class customer service via remote/virtual communications. It goes without saying that you are highly organized, dedicated and easy-going, able to quickly build trust across departments through transparency.

Day to Day Highlights
Designs BI project processes from start to finish, including production and maintenance of financial and/or market intelligence data through mining repositories and generating specific reports.
Coordinates and liaises with IT team and other departments, gathers and records technical specifications; schedules and directs work and resources, manages scope within the project to ensure successful project understanding and delivery.
Analyzes requirements gathered and determines gaps in technology, business processes; constructs workflow charts and diagrams; studies system capabilities and writing specifications.
Trains staff on use of the BI system for ad-hoc queries and further analysis to inform specific business challenges.
Plays key role in the management of multiple projects through all life-cycle phases including keeping all stakeholders appropriately engaged and informed of status, risks, and issues during the course of the project to help ensure projects are completed effectively
Prepares reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of analytics related software.
Communicates complex technology concepts to a non-technology audience clearly and effectively.
Manage BI Reporting Solutions
o Design, develop, test, deliver, implement, and maintain high quality, business intelligence tools using Google Charts - data models, data visualizations, and dashboards.
o Focus on real-time performance monitoring and actionable insights
o Partner with project management teams to drive operational excellence (continuous improvement) and the adoption of enterprise improvement initiatives.
o Obtain expertise in Quality Matters' operations in order to understand the organization operations, reporting requirements and to deliver insights that will drive the organization performance.

Minimum Requirements for Consideration:
You are currently a resident of one of the following United States: Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, or Washington.
QM operates on Eastern Time, (NY) and the BIS is required to attend and participate during the synchronous core schedule of M-F, 10a-3p, ET, regardless of physical location.
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Business or Project Management
A minimum of two years hands-on experience working with Business analytics intelligence and data analysis software.
A minimum of two years' experience with database user interface software, SQL, SQL Server Management Studio Ability SOQL, Apex, and related query and programming languages
Two years' experience with Business Intelligence (BI) and data visualization tools like Asana, Looker, GoodData, Tableau, etc.
A minimum of one year experience with Google Analytics
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-moving, virtual work environment.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills with the ability to analyze, summarize and present reports to management
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects involving multiple technologies relating to applications, databases, servers, storage, multi-media, networking, and telecommunications
Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload, remain organized, and make decisions in a fast- paced, deadline sensitive environment
Incumbent must also have familiarity with, or be willing to learn the operations of company-specific cloud services for internal tasking and client-facing ticketing systems.
Must have access to reliable high speed internet.

Required Technology Proficiencies:
Advanced user status of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel
One year experience using video conferencing software, Zoom, Skype
A minimum of one year experience with Google Analytics and Google Applications
Demonstrated ability and willingness to continuously learn additional database systems as well
as other software packages that support the goals of QM.

Preferred Qualifications:
Two years or more experience working with educational institution data.
One year or more experience working in an NGO.
One year or more experience using SAS, Python or R
One year or more experience working with large datasets and a working knowledge of SPSS

Salary and benefits:
This exempt full-time position is eligible to participate in the QM benefit package after 90 days.
The starting salary is 48k-50k ($23.08 to 24.04 per hour.)
