Job Summary

A travel company needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Buyer and Procurement Strategist in Chicago.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

• Negotiating global hotel and services contracts and maintaining contract files
• Ensuring all suppliers meet key brand standards and contract requirements
• Regularly evaluating and re-negotiating existing contract agreements to ensure maximum profitability

Qualifications Include:

• Minimum of 8-10+ years procurement/buyer/market and/or revenue manager experience
• Ability to deliver results while maintaining supplier engagement
• Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
• Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Proven ability to work through conflict, build trust, generate respect, and influence outcomes
