Job Summary
A national organization that takes a holistic approach to agriculture needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Case Study Conservation Agronomist 1 and 2.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Coordinate with AFT regional staff and external partners to find and screen appropriate farmers to showcase in case studies
- Conduct interviews of at least three growers/year identified by our internal and external partners
- Conduct a partial budget economic analysis, a water quality analysis, and a climate analysis
Position Requirements Include:
- Good writing and editing skills
- Knowledge about U.S. commodity crop production systems
- Knowledge about soil health practices
- Capability of talking with farmers in intricate detail about their farming operations
- Degree related to agriculture, agronomy, environmental studies, extension/outreach, sustainability
- Or if education is in a different discipline, 2+ years in some aspect of agriculture and or sustainability/environmental conservation
