Remote CCS Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Remote IP Facility CCS Coder.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and code inpatient and outpatient hospital records, ensuring compliance with federal regulations
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding standards and resolve pre-bill edits and denials for assigned accounts
• Participate in departmental training and maintain a coding accuracy rate of at least 95%

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Must have one of the following coding certifications at the time of hire: HCS-D, CCS, CCS-P, CPC-H, CPC, or RHIT/RHIA
• One to three years of coding experience required
• Computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Experience with electronic medical records and encoders preferred
