Job Summary
A healthcare company is filling a position for a Remote CDI Specialist I in Eau Claire.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Review patient medical records in the inpatient and/or outpatient setting
- Capture accurate representation of the severity of illness and facilitate proper coding
- Validate that coding reflects medical necessity of services
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Entry-level or minimal experience in a Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist (CDIS) role
- CCDS or Certified Documentation Improvement Practitioner CDIP certification
- Any of the following: RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, RN, or formal education/completion of a medical program
- Bachelor of Science-Nursing (BSN) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)
