Job Summary
A staffing and recruitment firm needs applicants for an opening for a Remote CDI Specialist in Rochester.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Review patient medical records to capture accurate representation of the severity of illness and facilitate proper coding
- Validate that coding reflects medical necessity of services and facilitates appropriate coding
- Conduct documentation of discharge diagnoses and co-morbidities
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) OR Certified Documentation Improvement Practitioner (CDIP) certification required
- Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) OR Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
- OR Certified Coding Specialist-Physician-based (CCS-P)
- OR Registered Nurse (RN)
- OR completion of international or domestic medical program
- 3 or more years of CDI experience in a large healthcare system
