Remote Certified Actuary Director

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Director of Underwriting, Certified Actuary (FSA/ASA).

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the underwriting process for new customer acquisitions and existing relationships
• Analyze claims data and develop cost-of-care projections for renewals and new business opportunities
• Lead a team of pricing and reporting analysts, ensuring adherence to underwriting policies and procedures

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• 12+ years of experience in underwriting with at least 5 years in underwriting management
• Thorough knowledge of the health care and health insurance industries
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
• Strong knowledge of underwriting principles in a managed care environment
• Experience with managing large data sets using tools such as MS Access
