Job Summary
A software development company that works on electronic health records (EHRs) is in need of a Remote Certified Coding Specialist.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Conducting reviews and provide recommended corrections of billed services as it relates to clinical documentation
- Assisting in the reviews and responses to payor and governmental audits of billed services
- Meeting daily accuracy and production standards as per established department policy.
Position Requirements Include:
- High school diploma or GED
- One or more of the following: ICD-10, CCS, RHIT, or an RHIA credential through AHIMA; or a CPC/CPC-H credential from the AAPC.
- At least 1 year of experience in medical coding.
- Experience in coding or medical billing quality control is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
