Job Summary
A staffing agency is filling a position for a Remote Certified Medical Coder in Milwaukee.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Identifying, collecting, assessing, monitoring, and documenting claims and encountering coding information
- Verifying and ensuring the accuracy, completeness, specificity and appropriateness of diagnosis codes
- Reviewing medical record information to identify all appropriate coding based on CMS categories
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Have held AAPC or AHIMA certifications for 3+ years
- 2+ years of working as a certified medical coder
- Coding certification through AHIMA/ AAPC is required
- Minimum of GED or High School Diploma is required and will be verified
- Excellent written verbal and communication skills
