Job Summary
A staffing agency has an open position for a Remote Certified Medical Coder in St Louis.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Performing advanced billing and collection activities related to underpayments and adjustments
- Reviewing clinical information for all appeals
- Ensuring that all appeal letters generated comply with both State and Federal guidelines
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- The first 6 months will be onsite 40 hours per week to get up to speed, then all work can be remote
- Able to review remittance advises for accuracy of payments amounts
- Able to research and resolve Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial claim denials
- Able to support customer service unit in answering billing and collection questions
