Job Summary

A company providing urgent care medical services is in need of a Remote Certified Medical Coding Lead.

Core Responsibilities Include:

• Auditing records to ensure proper submission of services
• Supplying correct ICD-9-CM /ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes on all diagnoses provided
• Supplying correct HCPCS code on all procedures and services performed

Qualifications for this position include:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Medical Coding certificate - RHIT or CPC required
• Minimum of 2 years with exposure to healthcare billing functions required
• Principles, practices and methods of current coding certificate required
• Knowledge of medical records, EHR required
• Knowledge of billing practices required
