Remote Certified Pharmacy Technician
Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time temporary basis, the Remote Certified Pharmacy Technician will process prior authorization requests for medications, applying clinical criteria and communicating with providers and pharmacies during the review process.
Key responsibilities
- Interprets and applies clinical criteria for prior authorization approvals
- Utilizes member claims history and makes outbound calls to gather necessary information
- Receives inbound calls related to prior authorization inquiries and assists with appeals processing as assigned
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or NHA)
- 1 to 3 years of experience in prior authorization or related pharmacy settings
- Minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute
- Strong knowledge of specialty and non-specialty pharmaceuticals
