Job Summary
A technology company is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Channel Sales Engineer in Chicago.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Identify and technically assess new partners in tandem with Regional Partner Manager (RPM)
- Participate in partner business planning activities by supporting development and execution of the partner technical business plan
- Provide localized technical training to partner's pre-sales and post-sales technical resources
Qualifications for this position include:
- 5 to 7 years of experience in IT security market
- 2 years of field technical sales experience, working as a systems engineer or equivalent
- Basic understanding of the partner business model and common financial pain points, such as profit margin, cash-flow, utilization, and days sales outstanding
- General understanding of local partner community, technology trends, and competitive landscape
- Basic negotiation skills
- Strong communication and listening skills, including effective delivery of presentations
