Job Summary
A virtual reality training and consulting company is in need of a Remote Character Artist.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Oversee the production of high-fidelity avatars for a game engine
- Take high res scans and reproject them to target meshes
- Customize hair, teeth, and eyes for each avatar to suit their visuals
Skills and Requirements Include:
- At least 5 years working experience in the AAA game development industry creating high-fidelity, photo-real human characters for real-time rendering
- Expert-level knowledge and proficiency in 2D/3D authoring software (Maya, Zbrush, Photoshop, Marvelous Designer, Substance Painter, Mari)
- Strong portfolio showcasing examples of professional and personal character work
- Ability to collaborate with leads to develop blendshape driven facial system
- Excellent sense of human anatomy, shape, proportions, and silhouette
- Strong eye for light, shade, color, and detail in creating photo-real shaders and materials
