As a Character Artist at VirBELA you will be working on a cross-disciplinary team that includes software engineers, asset designers, organizational psychologists, corporate leaders, virtual world specialists, and domain experts.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

Design and develop 3D characters for virtual worlds
Integrate and edit motion capture animations for use in Unity
Create new assets for developed rigs in Maya
Implement rigs in Unity for customizable avatars in a virtual environment
Create character models/geometry, texture maps, animations, and rigging
Support custom applications through modifications of existing assets

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelors of Arts and/or Game Design degree
3+ years Experience in 3D character modeling, rigging, and animation
Experience with relevant software systems such as Maya, 3DS Max, Blender, and ZBrush, MotionBuilder, etc.
Fully comfortable and independent with Maya's rigging tools and methodologies
Efficient and autonomous on rigging/skinning tasks
Ability to integrate and edit motion capture animations for use in Unity
Experience in working with real-time systems such as games and virtual worlds
