Job Summary
An insurance company is seeking a Remote Claims Operations Director.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Lead the Corporate Office Claims Operations team
- Provide advice and counsel on claims handling and claims litigation
- Review and grant reserve and settlement authority for team members
Qualifications for this position include:
- Occasional travel
- Ten years of multi-line claims experience in progressively responsible roles
- Superior knowledge of the theory and practice of the claims function
- Excellent knowledge in the areas of insurance contracts, medical terminology, and legal aspects
- Excellent leadership qualities in the supervision of team members
- Excellent knowledge of computers and claims systems
