Job Summary
An indemnity and underwriting company needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Claims Representative.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Taking a recorded statement from all parties involved in the claim when appropriate for the type of claim being handled
- Determining and completing appropriate level of investigation to make determination of coverage
- Making timely and appropriate contacts
Position Requirements Include:
- Minimum 3-5 years of progressively complex specialty claims experience
- Strong claims technical knowledge, and some legal climate background in local market
- Must be able to communicate professionally and effectively
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Must have proven analytical, negotiation, decision making, problem solving, organizational and presentation skills
- Demonstrated proficiency with computer software including Microsoft Office suite and other claims tracking systems
