Remote Clearance Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Clearance Specialist to support Specialty Infusion Pharmacy needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Process new referrals, including verifying patient eligibility and coordinating benefits
• Prepare, submit, and follow up on payer authorization requests
• Communicate with patients and referral sources regarding referral status and coverage updates

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of home infusion specialty pharmacy and/or medical intake/reimbursement experience preferred
• Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care reimbursement guidelines
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
• Basic level skill in Microsoft Excel & Word
