Remote Clearance Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Clearance Specialist to support Specialty Infusion Pharmacy needs remotely in the Mountain Standard Time Zone.

Key Responsibilities

• Process new referrals by verifying patient eligibility and documenting insurance coverage
• Calculate estimated patient financial responsibility and secure prior authorizations
• Communicate with patients and referral sources regarding referral status and coverage updates

Required Qualifications and Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience in home infusion acute pharmacy or medical intake/reimbursement preferred
• Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care reimbursement guidelines
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
• Basic skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
