Job Summary

A staffing agency is seeking a Remote Clinical Document Improvement Specialist.

Must be able to:

  • Improve clinical documentation
  • Interact with physicians, nursing staff and HIM Coding staff
  • Ensure that appropriate reimbursement is received

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • Licensure as a nurse, doctor, PA or RHIA, RHIT, and/or CCS Certification
  • CDI subject matter expert
  • Ability to formulate clinically compliant, credible queries
  • Ability to apply coding conventions
  • Knowledge of disease pathophysiology and drug utilization
  • Knowledge of MS-DRG and APR-DRG classification and reimbursement structures
