Job Summary
An innovative primary care provider network has an open position for a Remote Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist.
Must be able to:
- Review office notes of patients to identify the diagnoses in the HCC model and to assign a working HCC
- Perform initial reviews, concurrent reviews and retrospective reviews to ensure there is adequate supporting documentation for HCC diagnoses in the note
- Develop and conduct ongoing CDM education for new staff including coders, physicians, nurses, and behavioral health specialists
Qualifications Include:
- Minimum 3 years related experience
- Knowledge of age-specific needs and the elements of disease processes and related procedures
- Working knowledge of the Medicare Advantage reimbursement system and HCC Coding
- Working knowledge of HEDIS quality specification
- Ability to works collaboratively with Medicare Risk Operations Medical Director to ensure positive program outcomes
- Ability to provide ongoing CDI team learning opportunities through sharing of professional knowledge
