Job Summary

A staffing agency is filling a position for a Remote Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist I in Rochester.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Reviewing patient medical records in the inpatient and/or outpatient setting
• Capturing accurate representation of the severity of illness
• Validating that coding reflects medical necessity of services

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• Entry-level or minimal experience in the Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist
• RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, RN, completion of medical program or formal education
• Demonstrated skills in analytical thinking, problem solving
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Self-motivated and able to work independently without close supervision
• Ability to work well with others in a creative and challenging work environment
