Job Summary
A non-profit health insurance company is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Clinical Formulary Pharmacist.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Developing prior authorization, step therapy criteria and utilization management edits
- Creating and updating new and existing policy bibliographies
- Monitoring new drug pipeline
Position Requirements Include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy
- Minimum 2 years of healthcare-related writing, medical policy development or implementation preferred
- Minimum 1 year of specialty or formulary pharmacy experience is preferred
- Two (2) years of previous health plan or PBM experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and claims payment policies
- Strong clinical expertise and healthcare administration understanding
