Job Summary
To support specialty medical prior authorization processes, the full-time Remote Clinical Pharmacist will collaborate with Pharmacy Technicians and Nurses to handle authorization requests, review cases, and communicate decisions, requiring a Remote Clinical Pharmacist License.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with Pharmacy Technicians and Nurses to process authorization requests and answer clinical questions
- Review cases based on established health plan criteria and service-level agreements
- Coordinate timely communication of authorization decisions to various stakeholders, including physicians and patients
Required qualifications
- Active pharmacist license in the state of residence, in good standing
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD
- At least 2 years of experience as a pharmacist
- 2+ years of clinical experience with specialty medications or clinical review of prior authorization requests
