Job Summary
A healthcare company needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Clinical Referral Specialist I in Dallas.
Must be able to:
- Initiate and manage clinical referrals for pre-authorization
- Act as a liaison between hospital, health plans, physicians, patients, and others
- Verifiy insurance coverage and completes pre-authorization process for radiology and other imaging exams
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- High School diploma or GED
- 1-3 years of experience in a high-volume, interactive customer service or call center environment
- Or any equivalent combination of education and experience
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to respond to inbound calls initiating exam requests
- Ability to assign escalated referrals to staff as appropriate
