Job Summary
Medical content and software platform needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Clinical Terminologist in Seattle.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Designing, creating and managing value sets and code mappings across multiple specialty domains
- Working closely with Clinical Informaticists and Editorial team members to ensure value sets are applied accurately
- Supporting emerging technology capabilities (NLP, AI, ML) leveraging both structured and unstructured EMR
Position Requirements Include:
- PharmD, RPh, or more advanced clinical degree with emphasis in a related field or equivalent experience
- 5 years' experience working with terminologies and data standards including CPT, HCPCS, RXNorm, NDC, LOINC, SNOWMED, ICD-9, ICD-10, HL7
- Experience with NIH value sets, FDB medication data, and terminology value set/data mapping tools (ex. Apelon, etc..)
- Experience working with structured and unstructured data from major EMR vendors (Epic, Cerner, NextGen, McKesson, etc..)
- Strong knowledge of information/data flow between healthcare providers and health plans
- Experience working with Jira, Trello or other similar work management tools
