Remote Clinician Documentation Educator

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Clinician Documentation Educator will analyze reports for deficiency trends, notify clinicians of issues, and ensure compliance with documentation standards in emergency medicine.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze coder communication and reports to identify trends and deficiencies
• Review medical records for gaps in clinical documentation and provide feedback for improvement
• Maintain knowledge of EHR/EMR capabilities and ensure compliance with coding standards and regulations

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• RHIT, RHIA, CPC, CCS-P, or other relevant accreditation required
• At least one year of coding experience or equivalent training/education
• Demonstrated knowledge of industry guidelines and regulations
• Experience with ICD-9-CM, ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding
