Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Clinician Documentation Educator will analyze reports for deficiency trends, notify clinicians of issues, and ensure compliance with documentation standards in emergency medicine.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze coder communication and reports to identify trends and deficiencies
- Review medical records for gaps in clinical documentation and provide feedback for improvement
- Maintain knowledge of EHR/EMR capabilities and ensure compliance with coding standards and regulations
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- RHIT, RHIA, CPC, CCS-P, or other relevant accreditation required
- At least one year of coding experience or equivalent training/education
- Demonstrated knowledge of industry guidelines and regulations
- Experience with ICD-9-CM, ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding
