Job Summary
An information and insights company is filling a position for a Remote Cloud Platform Engineer in Chicago.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Utilize DevOps concepts to develop, automate, and operate IaaS and PaaS cloud deployments
- Collaborate with application developers and architects, infrastructure engineers and architects
- Architect highly available and scalable systems on cloud platforms
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- 3+ years of direct hands-on with external cloud platforms specifically with Amazon Web Services
- An ability to use a wide variety of Open Source and cloud tools
- Proficiency with developing software using API calls
- Experience with Python and bash scripting or Powershell
- Experience with infrastructure as code
- Hands on experience using continuous integration/delivery tools like git, Jenkins
