Job Summary
A healthcare company has an open position for a Remote Coder Abstractor II.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Interpreting and analyzing medical data based on coding specific guidelines
- Demonstrating and applying in-depth knowledge of coding/classification systems
- Possessing and demonstrating knowledge of computerized databases for coding and abstracting
Position Requirements Include:
- Associate and/or higher degree in a healthcare related program
- AHIMA or AAPC coding credential must be current
- Accreditation as Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Register Health Information Administrator (RHIA)
- One year of acute hospital based coding experience - inpatient, ED or ASU (must be hospital based)
