Job Summary

Demonstrating proficiency in coding high acuity inpatient and technical outpatient accounts, the part-time Remote Coder III with Certification will support Revenue Cycle goals for timely billing while working on a per diem basis.

Key responsibilities

• Code high acuity inpatient accounts and technical outpatient accounts, including Observation and various oncology and surgical procedures
• Ensure accurate coding to support timely billing and compliance with revenue cycle objectives
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to maintain coding standards and improve billing processes

Required qualifications

• 3-5 years of coding experience, with a preference for outpatient coding
• High School diploma or GED required
• Certification such as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CIC, COC, CPC, CCA, CCC, CIRCC, or CCVTC is required
