Remote Coding Coordinator

Job Summary

Responsible for the timely and accurate coding for reimbursement and data collection purposes, the full-time Remote Coding Coordinator will coordinate daily coding functions, train staff on coding guidelines, and serve as a subject matter expert across departments.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily coding and support functions within Health Information Management Services
• Develop coding policies and procedures in accordance with industry guidelines and regulations
• Analyze and report trends to identify improvement opportunities in coding performance

Required qualifications

• RHIA, RHIT, or CCS certification or equivalent certification/degree
• College credits in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Three years of coding experience in a Health Information Management Department or equivalent
• Experience with implementing and maintaining computer systems
