Job Summary
To support new clinician onboarding, the full-time Remote Coding Liaison Specialist will deliver proactive coding education, lead compliance training, and provide individualized documentation feedback while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver proactive coding education through newsletters, scorecards, and presentations on various coding guidelines and payer requirements
- Lead onboarding and compliance training for employed Physicians/APPs, ensuring documentation accuracy from the start
- Serve as the primary contact for coding inquiries and coordinate with internal teams to resolve complex coding issues
Required qualifications
- Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification, or Coding Specialist (CCS) certification, or Coding Specialist - Physician (CCS-P) certification, or Professional Coder (CPC) certification
- Completion of advanced training through a recognized or accredited program equivalent to post-secondary education
- Typically requires 4 years of experience in expert-level professional coding
- In-depth knowledge of ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines
- Advanced knowledge of Epic and other reporting tools for data analysis and workflow optimization
