Remote Coding Resident

Job Summary

A company is looking for a HIM Coder Resident.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive hands-on training in coding and feedback on patient account coding
• Assign and sequence diagnosis and procedure codes following official coding guidelines
• Review work queue assignments and prioritize to meet revenue cycle goals

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma required
• Zero to one year of ICD-10 and/or CPT-4 hospital coding experience or relevant healthcare experience
• Basic understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Ability to work independently as a remote employee
• Proficiency of 85% or greater on coding audit reviews must be maintained
