Remote Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding Specialist to perform duties related to the record processing operation of the Medical Records Department.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the coding, abstracting, and analysis of medical records
• May assist with assembly, tracking, and completion of incomplete medical records
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Associate's degree in health information field or related healthcare program, or a High School Diploma with 5 years of related experience
• Two years of previous acute care medical record coding experience in ICD-10-CM and CPT
• Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification, or other credentials in a health-related field
