Remote Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a VIP Coding Specialist PRN.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reviews complete medical records and assigns accurate ICD 10 CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes
• Ensures documentation supports all assigned codes and collaborates with clinic staff for clarification
• Applies current coding guidelines and maintains accurate records of work progress

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Epic knowledge and Microsoft Office proficiency
• Coding certification: CPC, RHIT, or CCS
• Minimum of 2 years of coding experience, preferably with Radiology coding knowledge
• Experience with HCPCS coding and denial reviews is a plus
• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
