Remote Coding Specialist HCS-D Certified

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding Specialist (HCS-D Certification Required) - Remote.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review medical records and assign codes
• Follow official coding guidelines per CMS and ICD rules
• Consult clinicians for clarification and educate them on coding practices

Required Qualifications:

• Clinician or a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or certified as a Home Care Specialist - Diagnosis (HCS-D)
• Successfully pass the HCS-D certification exam within 90 days of employment and maintain certification annually
• 1+ years of professional work experience preferred
