Remote Coding Supervisor

Job Summary

To oversee daily operations of the hospital coding team, the full-time Remote Coding Supervisor will manage team performance, promote compliant coding practices, and develop staff goals while working remotely from the Eastern Standard Time Zone.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the performance of the inpatient or outpatient coding team
• Promote accurate and efficient coding practices that align with organizational goals
• Identify process improvements and assist in developing action plans for the team

Required qualifications

• Associate degree in health information management or a related field
• Proficiency in hospital inpatient coding with ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS
• At least 1 year of inpatient or outpatient coding experience
• Certification such as RHIA, RHIT, CCA, CCS, or CPC
• Residency in the Eastern Standard Time Zone
