Remote Coding Supervisor - CCS

Job Summary

Supervising the coding workflow, the full-time Remote Coding Supervisor - CCS will manage coder performance, ensure compliance with coding guidelines, and provide education to improve documentation quality in a 100% remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Provides direct supervision and oversight to HIM coders for inpatient and outpatient coding functions
• Tracks productivity and offers timely feedback to employees and management
• Coordinates coder training and develops educational materials and coding tools

Required qualifications

• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or equivalent coding certification
• High School Diploma or GED
• Five years of hospital-based coding experience, including complex CPT surgical coding and advanced ICD-10-CM-PCS coding
• Experience in coding auditing and monitoring
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
