Remote Coding Team Lead

Job Summary

Supporting a remote coding team, the full-time Coding Team Lead will mentor coders, handle escalated cases, and ensure accurate medical coding while collaborating with clinicians and other departments.

Key responsibilities

• Serves as the primary source for coder inquiries and provides feedback on escalated cases
• Abstracts and codes surgical procedures, ensuring compliance with CPT, ASA, and ICD-10 guidelines
• Analyzes data, generates reports for management, and assists in the development of coding playbooks and SOPs

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Medical records experience required
• Proficient in CPT, ASA, and ICD-10 coding
• Ability to work independently and self-motivate on new projects
• Knowledge of coding requirements for anesthesia providers and related documentation
